Dancing with the Arthur Murray Team had given me a brand new outlook!  The confidence that the teachers inspire within us and the knowledge that they give helped me break out of a shell and be really very confident - not only dancing, but out in the world.  How can you be fearful when you're standing up straight, head up with a smile on your face?  And confidence breeds more confidence.  The studio itself is like a home away from home - comfortable, yet fun, with the best people (both teachers and students) around - it's hard to go home after practice parties, group lessons and special events!  And, let me tell you, the special events keep coming and are truly SPECIAL!  That's because the staff makes it that way.  James has surrounded himself with a wonderful staff of enthusiastic and friendly Instructors.  I look forward to going every single time!!!!  Thank you, thank you, thank you - from the bottom of my heart!

Time does indeed fly when you're having fun.  When I began this magical journey eight years ago, my sole purpose was to have a guaranteed dance partner for two hours a week - no muss, no fuss;  just do what I've always loved - dance!!  Little did I know that I would discover a whole new world, a constantly expanding circle of friends and supportive people from all walks of life.

James, the Supervisor and Trainer for the Team, has especially proven to be a "teachers' teacher".  His patience, understanding and insightful guidance have taken me to amazing places, both as a dancer and a person.  Even after all this time, I still marvel at his unceasing efforts to find just the right key to unlock new levels of comprehension and achievement.

To coin a phrase, the icing on the cake is that when you enroll in an Arthur Murray program, you automatically become part of an international family.  While traveling, I find neaby studios and join in their groups, parties and even schedule a private lesson or two.  No matter where a studio is located, I am welcomed with open arms as if it were my home studio.  Thus far, my circle of dance friends extends from the NY metro area to Scottsdale, Phoenix, Ft. Lauderdale and Orange (CA).  Never ending dance bliss, even away from home..

Needless to say, dancing has taken me to new heights, both emotionally and physically.  My confidence has been given a major boost and, for the first time in years, onset osteoporosis has come to a grinding halt.  Friends and family often comment on how my face just lights up even at the mention of anything dance related.

Words cannot express my gratitude and appreciation for this fabulous adventure.  Kudos to you for making "Walk In, Dance Out" more than just another slogan.  It is truly a wonderful way of life that keeps one energized in body, mind and spirit.  For me, there are no sweeter words than "Could I Have This Dance"?

After being diagonosed with type 2 diabetes, I began working out at a local gym. After a while it became boring doing the same routines all the time. I have always loved dancing and decided to take a few lessons. After a couple of years taking lessons, I was fortunate to meet James West at a dance exhibition. I thought he was the best dance instructor I had ever seen. When I got the news that he had taken over the studio in Southampton, I was elated.

Meeting James and his staff was my dream come true. I love dancing with him. He has given me self-confidence, and introduced me to a whole new world of style and elegance. The friendships I have formed with the other students and the staff will last a lifetime.

My blood tests reveal that my diabetes is now under control without the use of insulin. My body has undergone a real transformation and looks better than it did 10 years ago. James is an expert on all phases of dance. He not only teaches you the steps, but is also an excellent body coach and teaches you technique as well as a complete comprehension of the dance itself. He makes learning fun.

Since losing my husband three months ago, I go to dance which brings me much joy and elation. I am happy, confident, and thrillled to have the support of James and his staff. He goes above just teaching but cares deeply about his students.
All of us on the "east end" are blessed to have this wonderful man as our friend and teacher. For all of you who think you are too old, or have two left feet, but love music, James and his staff are the Pros to see.  As they say "the best is yet to come".
Thank you James and the Arthur Murray Southampton Team

I just wanted to say how great it was to have the instructors from the Arthur Murray School of Dance come into the Southampton High School physical education classes. Our students had a great time learning the different styles of dance. Your instructors, especially Ms. Judy K., were great and took the time to work with the kids individually as needed. Part of our goal here in the Phys Ed department is to provide a variety of activities for our students that are part of lifetime fitness, and we knew that health and fitness are an important part of the Arthur Murray curriculum.
It was great to walk into the gym and see the students engaged and actively participating in the various types of dances. We also got a lot of positive feedback from our parents about the program.
Thank you again for all your time and effort in teaching our students how to dance.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank you for your dance preview at our Holiday Party on Thursday, December 9. Your dancing is endlessly entertaining, and the mini dance lessons were fun for everyone! Thank you for your time and for sharing your skill with all of us. We hope to see you and your fellow dancers at our next event!
